I've been running quite often now — mostly around 10km max. Can I really do a real marathon? Or is this just another mid-life crisis question. Well, why not do half?
So I signed up for a half marathon. It's the real thing, no other than the famous Hyundai Mitja Marató de Barcelona. I have that growing feeling to go back home to Barcelona and doing this big event of a marathon might be my best excuse.
Of course I practiced. Incrementally, running above 10km, then 15km until I managed to reached around 18-20km.
That was my longest run before I hit the real race. This gave me the notion that I might as well finish the half marathon.
