#41 The Lost Boy

By Bryan | Published: 24th Dec, 2019

This photo was taken just next to the Gothic Cathedral in Barri Gotic, Barcelona. Something I’d like to share personally as it's one of my favorite candid shots.

There’s just so much innocence in it, don’t you think?

Oftentimes, I feel like I'm stuck in the middle like a lost kid. It can get overwhelming. Opportunity shows up nowhere like a bunch of colorful balloons. All seem beautiful and nice. Sometimes, a stranger trap. Which balloon is your best pick?

It doesn’t really matter.

Find happiness out of it — one way or the other. Just take your pick.

The color of the balloon is not what's most important. Enjoying that balloon and playing with it is important. Just pick the one you like best and enjoy it. Then move on to the next experience.

Making the most out of every situation. Well said, Darren.

Many people take too much time to choose and lose precious moments. In the end, any choice is better than no choice at all.

In the context of serious decision making, it may require enough time to think but careful not to overdo and waste too much time and energy. On a side note, sometimes I feel guilty about this. I spend too much time choosing something but this is more on practical situations like shopping — literally which color to pick for a shirt for example.

I love the picture. It makes me feel hopeful.

I remember what it was like to be a kid but I don’t remember how to be a kid. I think a bit part of that is simply living in the moment. This is something we adults need to learn to do again. Somehow most of us lost it along the way growing older.
